Through the support of Rufford Foundation, the project on human-elephant coexistence led by Dr. Rama Mishra, prepared an education video entitled "Chanchali: The story of Elephants and Shared Earth" is now available on YouTube.
Through the support of Rufford Foundation, the project on human-elephant coexistence led by Dr. Rama Mishra, prepared a brochure with information on elephant conservation, causes of human-elephant conflict, preventive and mitigation measures of human-elephant conflict. These brochures are distributed to local community members across the elephant range in Nepal.
We updated the Radio Jingle in Maithili and Nepali language and started broadcasting in different FM stations in Central Nepal (Bara and Dhanusha). The jingle has information on elephant behavior and safety measures to avoid confrontation with elephants, saving life of both people and elephants.
